Learn to Knit
Give your child the gift of this timeless hobby! Teaching kids to knit reinforces eye-hand coordination and unleashes new creativity. We’ll learn how to cast on, the knit and purl stitches, and the basics of reading a pattern. I’ll supply the yarn and needles, and your child will supply enthusiasm and patience. And when we’re done with the session, your child will have the skills to knit a simple item such as a scarf, hot pad, pet toy, or bracelet. The class is open to new-to-knitting kiddos as well as those who know the basics.

Book Club
The Saturdays by Elizabeth Enright (Book 1) Elizabeth Enright created the memorable Melendy Quartet back in the 1940’s, but these four children’s personalities still burst forth from the pages. In The Saturdays (Melendy Quartet), the siblings explore Manhattan by an ingenuous plan of pooling their allowance so that each child has enough to make a trip once a month. These books truly promote family love and friendship, compassion, and creativity. Join us for great discussions, crafts, and activities that will bring this book to life!
